The last two months have rocked my world. We moved, my parents are getting divorced, we found out that we may not be able to have children, I quit my job and my husband and I have both decided to change our career paths.
I have never made a rash decision in my life. I have always had a plan, known where I was going and diligently worked towards it. When I quit, I jumped without a safety net. It has been terrifying but I have no doubt that it was the right decision.
All of the change has caused us to reassess what we value most and what we want out of life. The upside is that it has given us the permission to make changes we probably wouldn’t have made otherwise.
Today we agreed upon where we want to be this time next year. We are setting a goal of 365 days. I am going to write about our journey here to chronicle the ups and downs and keep us honest in moving forward.
I like to think we are normal folks.We are 20-somethings, breaking into our careers, living frugally and navigating scary new life changes. I hope our experiences will help others or at least entertain them. Join me, won't you?
