New Year's Resolutions

Does anyone still do this? Does anyone actually follow through?
One month ago today I vowed to make some big changes. Here is a run down of the specifics. I am hoping by putting them down in cyber space I will hold my self more accountable:

  • Get my Teaching Credentials: I have a Bachelor's Degree that is collecting dust and I have finally decided what I want to do with it. I am currently teaching in the private sector in the mean time.
  • Choose a New Location: Be it Alaska, or Connecticut we plan to migrate. It is time for us to spread or wings and leave the nest that is our home town.
  • Support Husband in His Career Goals: Just as it sounds. We are putting our noses to the grindstone this year. It won't be easy, but I know it will be worth it.
  • Lose 20 Pounds: 3.5 years of sitting behind a desk has not been kind on my caboose. Have I mentioned that I love butter as much as Paula Deen does?
  • Read the Bible Cover to Cover with Husband: We have started this several times and not succeeded. This year will be the year.
  • Shop Less & De-Clutter More: I don't smoke or do drugs; shopping is my addiction. I will only be buying the bare necessities (look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities, forget about your worries and your strife....). I will also be ditching anything we don't use or need.

I'll be checking in periodically with my progress.

What about you, any big resolutions?

-M
